This little angel was the original design I created back in 1990 that started my interest in painting art. I was asked to design place cards with angel art for a large banquet honoring foster parents. My mom and dad were foster parents themselves at a later time, and I know the love that is shared with these special foster children. Bouquets to all foster and adoptive parents! This fun volunteer project is what started it all! I have always loved angels and painting them was a natural evolution into the art world.

Have fun and individualize your work by substituting thread colors, using metallic threads, and/or adding beads to your piece!

Whimsy Wings is designed to be stitched on 14ct, 18ct, or 25 count fabric and uses 83 DMC floss colors. This design uses full stitches, quarter stitches, petite stitches, French knots, and back stitching.

All Sylvia Q. Sierra cross stitch patterns are compatible with Pattern Keeper software.
