The beautiful Mexican Talavera tile is made in Mexico, predominantly in Guanajuato, near the popular city of San Miguel de Allende. I cut shards of these tiles, make sterling silver bezels, and both go into the kiln! The pendants turn out beautifully. I finish each Talavera piece, adding genuine turquoise, bezeled stones, and my hand-beaded needle art.
