The back features my original Piña Family Tree artwork, reproduced on fabric and lovingly hand-sewn by me onto the dress. At the base of the tree rests a pineapple—a symbol of welcome, but also something deeply personal: piña means pineapple in Spanish and Piña was my mother’s maiden name.
From that meaningful foundation, the tree blossoms upward in a joyful abundance of color, flowers, hearts, birds and whimsical details—each representing the beauty of family, faith and the stories that connect generations.
I intentionally left the front simple, subtle and elegant, allowing the beautiful traditional detailing of the Mexican-made dress to speak quietly for itself. Then, as you turn, the colorful Piña Tree reveals itself—a delightful and unexpected expression of art and heritage.
