A one-of-a-kind Mexican wedding dress, beautifully crafted in Puerto Vallarta and transformed into wearable art with my colorful Family Tree design.
I hand-sewed my original art fabric onto the back, creating a whimsical tree filled with flowers, hearts, doves, homes and joyful symbols of family and heritage. At its roots sits a pineapple—a symbol of welcome with a deeply personal meaning: piña is Spanish for pineapple and was my mother’s maiden name.
A playful piece of my black-and-white polka-dot art fabric, hand-sewn beside the front pocket, adds one final unexpected touch of whimsy.
Mexican craftsmanship, original art and family heritage—stitched together into a piece with a story to tell.
